Completing this quest also allows the rest of the side quests to gradually unlock, opening up more crops and dishes. Candy is only dropped by ghosts who appear in a specific area at night, the kid won't comment on your candy before 11, when he and the others haven't started hanging out together, and this is the only time in the game where a dialogue choice has any actual impact (giving him candy means you'll have to wait another day, at least). Guide Dang It!: One side quest is only triggered by entering Paw Village on a sunny day after 11:00 with candy in your inventory, then denying it to a kid who asks you for it.Gentle Giant: Shamrock, Paw Village's blacksmith, is a towering brown bear that's kind and friendly with everyone.But Hazel chose not to use it because she felt the Empire's Ban on Magic might be justified.
